| The
359 mile (579 km) Atlantic Ocean coastline of Liberia opens
up into the oil laden Gulf of Guinea.
|
Although the neighboring countries of Cote d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) and Sierra Leone
have been proven to posess substantial offshore oil
reserves, the
waters off the coast of Liberia are only now beginning to
be explored and tapped. Recent seismic tests indicate
vast untapped oil reserves in Liberian
territorial waters, making the future bright for
the country's emerging economy.

|
The restoration of the Liberian infrastructure and the
raising of incomes in the economy began with the
settlement of civil warfare, the implementation of sound
macro- and micro-economic policies, including the
encouragement of foreign investment, and generous
support from donor countries.
|
With the cessation of civil war and visionary policies
implemented by the new government, the economy of
Liberia is now recovering and starting to flourish. Tricoastal Oil & Gas Ltd. is seeking to collaborate
with projects and provide the wherewithal that would
facilitate the development of Liberian offshore oil and
gas exploration. |
|
The number of international resource
sector companies that are looking to establish
a presence in Liberia has tripled since 2004, making the
relatively overlooked Liberian Atlantic Ocean coastline
one of the most exciting new areas for deep water exploration. |
